Healthy and Homemade Chai Spiced Porridge Mix with 8 Ingredients

I love porridge! If you’re as fond of it as me, I’ve got you covered. Have you ever tried vegetables in your breakfast bowl?

How is it with you? Porridge is a meal that I could honestly enjoy any time of day. It’s like a comforting hug. For a while, I tried different porridge mixes from various manufacturers. Then I came to the conclusion that I like this here and another at another. That was the start to making a proprietary blend.

I can integrate everything that I like. Because sometimes, it reminds too much of children’s porridge. I also like some spices and crunch. A big plus is that the mixture lasts at least two weeks and you have a warming bowl or overnight oats prepared in no time. Experimentation is absolutely allowed. I even added dried carrots and beetroot, ginger pomace from juicing.

Oh gosh, it was very tasty. You see, there are no limits, just go wild and freestyle and have fun!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup (sprouted) buckwheat

  • ½ cup sunflower seeds

  • ½ cup dried (golden) raisins

  • ½ cup quinoa flakes

  • ¼ cup linseeds

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tsp chai spice mix

Directions

  • Mix all ingredients in a clean storage jar and shake well

Notes

  • Keeps fresh up to 3 weeks
